Michael Visagie - Founder
Michael specialises in human behaviour within a business context and specifically in sales and leadership. Michael is an experienced Learning and Development consultant and combines a deep understanding of human behaviour into our approach and offering.
He brings a wealth of experience in International sales, leadership and has many years of experience working with large corporate clients around the world. Michael has a broad education in Psychology and Behavioural Science.

George Zachariou was involved in the IT industry for over 35 years, where his natural interpersonal ability and canny strategic thinking contributed greatly to his success in sales and business development in positions around the world.
Between 1992 and 2005 George has worked in Africa, Europe, the UK, Australasia and the Pacific regions in senior management positions in major international organizations like Olivetti, Digital, Compaq, Hewlett Packard, Media 24 and Autonomy.
On his return to SA in 1992, George was responsible for turning around marginal customers for an international IT company, and successfully recovered the business of one of the country’s largest mobile telephone service-provider for that company.
In 2008 George begun chasing his real passion, executive mentoring and sales training.
As a partner in Open Minds, Georges drives our sales activity, facilitates sales workshops, and motivational sessions.
Apart from his deep sales leadership experience, George’s attributes include excellent people skills, and he is simultaneously intuitive and incisive. He is a team player, and also a motivator, fair-minded, tolerant and loyal, with a strong value system.
But it is his ability to bring out humour in all situations that people mostly remember him for.
Aki Kalliatakis (Partner)
Aki is the founder of The Leadership LaunchPad, a business focused on consulting and training in customer loyalty and customer care for 23 years. His degree in psychology gave him the basis for understanding people issues at work, and after working in various human resources and marketing positions in a number of industries, he has focused exclusively on helping clients improve their customer management capabilities.
Together with many professional associates around SA, The Leadership LaunchPad assists clients to implement customised strategies for customer loyalty at all levels and for all functions. Aki is often invited to do keynote talks at local and international conferences, and conducts seminars and workshops courses for many global blue chip clients. (These include SAB-Miller, Mercedes Benz, KPMG, PG Glass, Avis, Nando’s, Spar, Deloittes, Microsoft, Ranbaxy, Toyota, Liberty Life, PPC, MTN, Nashua Mobile, and Virgin Mobile.)
In addition, as a “closet academic,” Aki lectures on various MBA and Executive Development Programmes at Wits University, Graduate School of Business (UCT,) and Henley Management College based in Reading in the UK. As a keynote speaker, Aki dispenses practical advice for delighting customers, and his passionate, humorous and entertaining style reflects his childhood dream of playing in a rock band. He has published seven books, and regularly writes for management journals and magazines. He occasionally appears in South African television and radio programmes.
Dr Herman Moolman
Dr Herman Moolman is our consultant learning guru. He is an experienced Learning & Development manager and consultant, qualified instructional designer, qualified teacher and e-learning specialist.
Designed, implemented and facilitated training content for differing business sectors - ranging from operations, HR, sales and management, from starter to executive levels.
Best achievements include the implementation of “Learning Academies” for
IHD (2004 – 2008),
UTi Pharma (2008 - 2010) and
UTi Worldwide (2010- 2013).
The objective was to supplement existing training services with an online course library and the implementation of Learning Management Systems (LMS) to manage training in all geographical areas of the companies.
Herman acquired a PhD in Computer Assisted Education – his research addressed the diversity of target groups in Africa and their readiness to be trained and educated with technology. Herman has published several articles in International Journals - relating to e-readiness and e-learning in corporate organisations.
